Executive Order 9066
FDR starts off by giving the secretary of Defense the right to designate military areas. In these areas the Secretary and the military commanders under him can act with discretion as to who and why can go in these areas. He goes on to say that the military is authorized to exclude people from food, transportation and shelter. These military commanders have the authority to enforce compliance with order 9066 even with federal troops.
The purpose of the order is to control "alien enemies."
This document is significant because it is used to justify putting japanese people in internment camps. Based on race and post-pearl harbor hysteria the president turned to a blind eye to fundamental American rights. Japanese people had their loyalty put in question and their livelihoods put in jeopardy as they had to depart to places in the middle of nowhere.

The Mexican Braceros 1942-1964
The main idea of this primary source is essentially to infer about the bracero program that was established in America during 1942 until 1964. Braceros were basically migrant workers typically from Mexico to help during harvest season. There job was only to help during harvest season and then they became long forgotten. In fact my grandfather was a bracero during this time, and was paid a very limited amount and went back home to Mexico once he was done with his duties. The Bracero program played a key role during this historical movement.
